Your every word saturates like a sponge, as though poured over and into me.
I squeeze and squeeze; gentle droplets flow out.
How simple are the words of wisdom.
How subtle and profound is Your word, that I find myself in humble contemplation and thankfulness beyond measure.
Early in the morning I rise to bask in the beauty of the Son, delighting in His presence.
Every muscle flexes; no fanciful stories digress into silliness.
Simple faith and plain truth abounds, causing a raising of holy hands.
A guidance to moral living and a heart dependent on YOU, causes a stretch in me.
And I am reminded that your Word comforts when I think I’m lonely or out of place;
Protects in advance, alleviating any fears;
Feeds when I’m hungry for more Word, or nourishment for the body;
Clothes me like the lilies of the field, rich and vibrant in color, bending, stretching and swaying in the gentle breeze.
How awesome is our God and Father; He draws us nigh.
Elevated from my time spent with Him, and soaring, looking for like kind who shall delight in His presence . . . and I see the redeemed of the Lord flying so.
